Mother's Day Gifts Mom Will Love
It's already mid-March which means Mother's Day is quickly approaching, so it's time to think about what gifts you might want (or what gifts you might want to give!)
Of course, it goes without saying that everyone is different. Some moms would be thrilled with appliances and gadgets, other moms would hate to get anything chore-related as a gift. Sometimes mom would love a movie-night or game-night with the family, and sometimes mama needs a little quality alone time for a massage or a manicure - or even just a bath. Only you know the love language of the mom(s) in your life, but even if these specific suggestions won't work for you, hopefully they'll at least get the creative juices flowing!
Being a mom comes with a lot of stuff, which is why I LOVE functional bags that hold everything but still look and feel super chic and stylish. This Petunia Pickle Bottom Ace Croc Diaper Bag is top of my list right now because of its interior and exterior pockets, but I also love the details of it. The textured black vegan leather and gold zippers go with absolutely anything so you won't have the hassle of changing bags depending on your outfit or activity.
Mom could probably use a little relaxation (uh, who couldn't?) and our Wash with Water Brand CBD Tincture would be perfect if mom's into natural hemp remedies. It's a sublingual (under the tongue) lemon-flavored tincture that acts fast to calm and relax. Bundle it together with an eye mask and a cute pair of pajamas (like our Kickee Short Sleeve Collared Pajama Shorts Set) for a relaxation gift basket mom will love!
If mom loves to cook and doesn't have an air fryer yet, there's a good chance it's on the need-to-get list! I personally LOVE mine. It's so much faster than cooking in the oven (and doesn't heat up the whole kitchen, which I especially appreciate when it's summertime in the South) and so much better for you than deep frying your foods. If you're not sure where to start, check out this post from 40 Aprons on the 5 Air Fryers We Love.
You can't go wrong with gift cards, either. I know, I know - to a lot of people, giving a gift card instead of an "actual" gift is straight-up blasphemy, but I personally love gift cards. I'd much rather receive a gift card that I can use toward my perfect item than something that's totally well-intentioned but doesn't quite hit the mark. If the mom(s) in your life is/are the same way, consider a Quattro Mama Gift Card (available in $10, $25, $50, or $100 increments) or a gift card to mom's favorite store or restaurant.
Of course, gifts don't have to be products! There are so many special ways to celebrate moms and all they do every day, and they don't have to involve physical items or a lot of money.
Cook Something Special
Mealtime can be more work than fun, so taking cooking or meal planning off mom's plate (pun intended) is a huge gesture. If mom loves breakfast, you can't go wrong with healthy pancakes, a Crockpot breakfast casserole, or an incredible breakfast egg roll in a bowl with a little mango! Or maybe a romantic dinner would work better, in which case I'd recommend the best filet mignon of your life, a bowl of lobster bisque, pasta with clam sauce, or an incredible chicken piccata.
If mom loves to cook, or if mom would just love you to do more cooking instead, then a 40 Aprons Premium Membership is just the ticket! Just $3.99 a month (or a discounted rate of $40 a year) gives you unlimited, ad-free access to tons of exclusive recipes, meal plans and grocery lists, healthy eating courses, eBooks, and so much more. It makes a wonderful gift that can be used daily - who wouldn't love that?!
Experience Something Special
As most moms will tell you, it's the memories that matter more than anything else. Like I mentioned earlier, family movie nights or game nights are great, intentional ways to spend time together as a family. Mom might also enjoy an afternoon at the park, the beach, or the zoo (depending on what you have near you) - check out sites like Groupon to get ideas of new indoor and outdoor activities in your area! If you're not super comfortable being out in public right now, a lot of places are offering virtual tours and classes. You might be able to find a paint-and-wine class you can participate in from your living room!
A photo session with a local photographer could be another option mom would love. They're perfect ways to capture this moment in time. Though, mom might not appreciate being surprised with a day-of photoshoot, but you could always work out all the details and gift her a certificate for Mother's Day!
